Pun intended. We all get excited about the firsts of summer — camping, swimming, picnics, etc. However, when the temperature reaches 90 plus degrees, the energy to go outside disappears. But, don’t forget there is a cool place to hang out — literally, it’s really cool – all year round!! The ImOn arena, located right here in Cedar Rapids, has been serving the community for over 20 years and is the perfect place to go ice skating.
Home to the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders, a Tier 1 junior ice hockey team that was founded in 1999, ImOn Ice is a multi-purpose sports and recreation venue with two sheets of ice, offering a multitude of things to do including:

Whether it’s your first time on the ice, or you’re looking to practice your skills, ImOn Ice has options and just the space for you. Join them for Wacky Wednesdays, Freebie Fridays, or to gather with friends and stay cool out there.
This summer, stay cool, expel some energy and enjoy blistering hot days at the arena.
Plus, this year, the arena is adding Summer Skate Camp! Summer skate camp is for skaters between 4 and 14 years of age and is welcome to all skill levels. The first session starts on June 13th, 2022. Did You Know?
Competitive figure skater and Cedar Rapids Native, Timothy LeDuc, is a member of the US Olympic Skating team, is an American pair skater with partner Ashely Cain-Gribble, and is a two time U.S. national champion (2019, 2022). The Olympian began skating at ImOn Ice Arena when he was 12-years-old!
