Get Primed, at Prime IV

I finally visited Prime IV Hydration & Wellness in Cedar Rapids, and honestly, I wish I’d gone sooner. From the second I walked in, I was greeted with a smile and instantly felt at ease. There was chilled water waiting, the lights were dim, and the music gave total Von Maur vibes — soft, calming, and kind of made me feel like I was floating through a peaceful shopping trip without a single “Mom, can I have this?” in earshot.

The whole space had that dark, cozy spa feel that melts the stress right off you.

Before anything started, I met with Nurse Amy, who was amazing. She sat down with me to go over my intake form, talked through how I’d been feeling, and explained all the different IV drips and what they do — hydration, energy, immunity, recovery, even stress support. Based on our conversation, she recommended one that fit perfectly for what my body needed right now (basically: everything).

We also talked through membership options, and I love that it’s not a one-size-fits-all approach — it really feels like something you can tailor to your lifestyle, whether you’re popping in occasionally or making it part of your self-care routine.

Then came the best part — the VIP Member Room. Picture this: a zero-gravity, full-body heated massage chair, oxygen therapy, cozy blankets, and lights low enough to nap without guilt. Amy and Katie were both incredible — they checked on me just enough to make sure I was comfortable, but never hovered or interrupted that peace you don’t get often as a mom.

And maybe it was all in my head (or maybe it really worked that fast), but I swear I felt better almost immediately. My energy felt steadier, my body felt hydrated, and my mind felt a little clearer — like I’d hit a mini reset button.

When my drip was done, the team helped me schedule my next appointment and went over different packages and options for coming back. The whole experience was so easy, friendly, and honestly refreshing — in every sense of the word.

With all the sickness going around — colds, flu, mystery school germs — this is such a great way to give your immune system a boost and take care of yourself before you hit that burnout wall. Moms don’t get sick days, but we can sneak in a little preventative care that helps us stay in the game.

So, if your body’s been saying “I need a break” or you’re just feeling run-down, I can’t recommend Prime IV Cedar Rapids enough. Hydrate, relax, recharge — and walk out ready to take on whatever chaos your crew throws at you next.

Because let’s be honest — you deserve to feel good, too.
