Materials Needed:

  • Paper plates (one per bunny)
  • Pink and white construction paper
  • Googly eyes
  • Pink pom-pom or cotton ball
  • Markers or crayons
  • Scissors
  • Glue or glue stick

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Bunny Ears: Cut out two large bunny ears from the white construction paper. You can make them as tall or as short as you like, depending on your preference.
  2. Add Inner Ear Detail: Cut out two smaller shapes from the pink construction paper to serve as the inner part of the bunny ears. Glue these onto the center of the white ears.
  3. Attach the Ears to the Plate: Flip the paper plate over so the bottom is facing up. Glue the bottom of each bunny ear to the top edge of the plate, positioning them on either side.
  4. Create the Bunny Face: Use markers or crayons to draw a cute bunny face on the center of the paper plate. This can include eyes, a nose, whiskers, and a mouth. Get creative with expressions!
  5. Add Googly Eyes: Glue googly eyes onto the bunny face. You can use small googly eyes for a cute look, or larger ones for a more whimsical appearance.
  6. Attach the Nose: Glue a pink pom-pom or a small cotton ball in the center of the bunny face to create the nose.
  7. Draw Mouth and Whiskers: Use a marker to draw a mouth below the nose. Add whiskers on either side of the nose using thin lines.
  8. Optional Tail: If you’d like, glue a small cotton ball or pom-pom to the back of the paper plate as the bunny’s tail.
  9. Let it Dry: Allow the glue to dry completely before handling your Easter Bunny Paper Plate Craft.
  10. Display or Play: Once dry, display your adorable Easter Bunny craft around the house or use it as a fun prop for Easter-themed playtime!

Additional Ideas:

  • Personalize Your Bunnies: Encourage kids to add their own unique touches to their bunny faces, such as different expressions or accessories like bows or hats.
  • Make a Bunny Family: Create multiple bunny crafts in various sizes to make a whole bunny family!
  • Use Different Materials: Get creative with different materials for the ears, such as patterned paper or felt.

This Easter Bunny Paper Plate Craft is not only fun to make but also makes for a charming decoration or activity for Easter festivities. Enjoy crafting and have a hoppy Easter!
