We had so much fun at our Cedar Rapids Mom’s Wreath Workshop & Mini Sign Night Out at Board & Brush in Hiawatha! It was a great way to kick off the month of December!

The evening was spent creating a custom live Holiday wreath using a variety of beautiful greenery (that smelled amazing). Included with the greenery were accents such as pinecones and berries. There was also a variety of ribbons to create decorative bows. We even learned how to make the bows ourselves.
Along with the wreath we created a personalized mini sign perfect for the holidays.
The studio was warm and welcoming from the moment we walked in. We were immediately greeted by a friendly face and directed to our designated table spot. Everything we needed for our projects was already there. The sound of holiday music was playing and the smell of freshly cut wood with a hint of pine from the greenery filled the air.
Snacks were provided from The Hangry Lady and they were the cutest and most delicious charcuterie cups. Board & Brush also provided one drink (cocktail/non-alcoholic) to all who purchased a ticket. The bar was also open the duration of the event if there was interest in purchasing more.
The staff was fantastic! They helped instruct all attendees from start to finish by offering just enough guidance to get our creative juices flowing so the projects were still unique to our own personal styles. I can not say enough good things about how the staff truly made the evening a top-notch experience.

Step by step, the staff walks you through the steps of distressing, sanding, staining, and special painting techniques. They then explain the process of laying your stencils and picking the colors of your choice to put the final touches on your project. And viola! You’ve just created a custom work of art!
