Waypoint provides many services to victims/survivors of domestic violence. They provide such services such as advocacy, individual counseling, a 24/7 resource and help hotline, housing assistance, and support groups. Currently, they have the following support group in Cedar Rapids:

Cedar Valley Friends of the Family

Cedar Valley Friends of the Family serves domestic violence victims/survivors in Allamakee, Buchanan, Clayton, Fayette, Linn, Bremer, Black Hawk, Delaware, Howard, Winneshiek, Benton, Chickasaw, Dubuque, and Jones county. They provide services such as a shelter for survivors of domestic violence who have nowhere else to go, an emergency shelter, housing assistance, and pet fostering for the animals of survivors who may not be able to have shelter for their pets while relocating. The program will also help survivors with connecting with community resources, developing a budget, and helping them restart their lives free of violence.
Deaf Iowans Against Abuse (DIAA)

DIAA is an organization that focuses on helping Deaf, hard of hearing, and Deaf-Blind Iowans who are the victims/survivors of domestic violence. They have multiple crisis hotlines that have different modes of communication to allow for all victims/survivors to be able to connect with resources and advocates. They also provide one on one counseling, and housing advocacy and support. Their advocacy program helps victims/survivors with options and rights regarding legal matters, medical exams and appointments, police and lawyer interviews, and social service systems. They will also help with a multitude of other agencies.
Domestic Violence Intervention Program (DVIP)

DVIP provides services to victims/survivors of domestic violence, dating violence, stalking and human trafficking and they serve the counties of Johnson, Iowa, Cedar, Des Moines, Henry, Lee, Van Buren, and Washington. DVIP provides services to victims/survivors such as advocacy, shelter, pet boarding, and housing assistance. They have been serving Iowa for over 40 years.

Across the state, crime victims and other concerned parties use IowaVINE for access to timely and reliable information about the custody status of an offender. Victims can receive automated notification by telephone, the Internet, or email 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. By telephone, victims can always contact a live operator who is trained in victim services.
