As a photographer and extremely visual person, style has always been really important to me. Like every momma, I wanted my crew to be adorable, like on the regular. Like most mommas out there, I do not have unlimited funds, nor massive amounts of time to scour the internet looking for unique affordable pieces for my clan.
So I am here to give you the scoop and share some of the small shops I love, and why I love them.
First and foremost. I love these shops because they are all run by moms. These small shop mommas live double lives…momma and business owner. Each of these lovely ladies pour their heart and soul into both roles. Although I still shop for most of my clothing staples at larger stores with low prices, like Target, I love picking up some special pieces from these small shops.
1. Hello Ellie Shop

Hello Ellie is based out of Florida and has the absolute best quality you will find. Their fabrics choices are beyond words, and always ahead of the trend. My favorite piece from Hello Ellie Shop is by far the romper. It comes if a larger variety of sizes so even my older kiddos wear them still.
2. Modern Roots Kids Co

If you are looking for fun and trendy prints, then you have found the right place. Modern Roots Kids Co is based out of Arizona and has super soft fabrics that wash and wear so well. My favorite piece from Modern Roods Kids Co are their bummies. My youngest wears them as shorts and under dresses and tunics.
3. Just Sew Baby

Want great customer service and great prices? You will find it at Just Sew Baby. This Minnesota owner is amazing to work with. I have two items that I just can’t choose between; their skirts and bows. I honestly can not count how many we have of both.
4. Cute Bird Kids Accessories

Okay all you girly mommas out there, this Texas based shop is the one is for you! CuteBird Kids Accessories has the absolute cutest bows. Some of her bows have wire built in so you can style them just right!
5. Swanky Shank

Based in Missouri, Swanky Shank is just one of those companies that just gets me every time. I want to order every single items. By far a favorite of everyone in my family, their shirts are to die for. From girly girl, to all boy… you will not be disappointed!
6. Kiki and Bee
Handmade felt hair pieces
When I am looking for a more subtle sweet look, I go to Wisconsin-based Kiki and Bee. The felt flower clips are just perfect. There are also softer baby headbands that you will adore.
By shopping small I am making a conscious choice to support other hard-working mommas. When my littles wear unique quality items made from small shops, they shine a little bit.
This is a choice I can feel good about time and time again.
