On August 12th, come to Ellis Park for a wet and wacky fun run benefiting two great community organizations: The Salvation Army and Matthew 25. Flood the Run, presented by Veridian Credit Union, is a 2.7-mile fun run/walk around Ellis Park that will have participants braving a human car wash, rain tunnel, bucket toss, a Blaster Bog, fire truck hose, giant slip-n-slide, and more.
A wonderful element of the run is that 100% of the money raised goes right back into helping those in the Linn County area with all of the proceeds split between The Salvation Army and Matthew 25. Additionally, there are many elements to bring family and friends together. In addition to the obstacles throughout the run, there will be an activity area at the end with games like belly bumpers, splat ball, and a bouncy house.
Registration is now open and can be done online through www.crfloodtherun.com. Early bird rates for adults (11 years and older) are $30 and children (10 years and younger) are $15 if registered before July 16th. Discounts are also available for teams of 10 or more. Regular rates are $40 for adults (11 years and older) and $20 for children (10 years and younger). Additionally, if you would like an event shirt, you must register by July 30th.
Flood the Run is still looking for sponsors for the event and groups to help with water obstacles. More information on becoming a sponsor can also be found at www.crfloodtherun.com. We hope to see you there!!
