🌽 1. Bloomsbury Farm – Iowa Fall Festival

Where: Atkins (about 20 minutes from Cedar Rapids)
When: Fridays 1–5:30 p.m., Saturdays & Sundays 10 a.m.–5:30 p.m., September 12 through October 26 (plus November 1)
Why Go: Bloomsbury is basically a fall paradise — pumpkins, a 10-acre corn maze, 30+ attractions, and photo ops galore. Perfect for kids, date days, or anyone who loves the full fall farm experience.
Mom Tip: Weekends can get crowded. Head out on a Friday afternoon if you can swing it — shorter lines, same amount of fun!

🎃 2. Bass Family Farms – Fall Festival at the Farm

Where: Mount Vernon (about 15 minutes from Cedar Rapids)
When: Saturdays & Sundays in September and October, 10 a.m.–6 p.m.
Why Go: A smaller, charming fall festival with hayrack rides, a corn maze, and a big dose of small-town warmth. Great for younger kids or families wanting something a little more low-key.
Mom Tip: Bring cash for local goodies and plan to spend a few hours — you’ll want time to wander and snack!

🍺 3. Amana Colonies Oktoberfest

Where: Amana Colonies (about 25 minutes away)
When: October 2–5, 2025
Why Go: This is the Iowa Oktoberfest! Enjoy live German music, brats, dancing, and pretzels bigger than your kid’s head. It’s a lively tradition that’s fun for both adults and families.
Mom Tip: Go early in the day to avoid crowds, and check out the family-friendly zones — there’s plenty for kids to enjoy, too!

🧺 4. Made in Iowa Fall Market & Scarecrow Festival

Where: Hawkeye Downs Expo Center, Cedar Rapids
When: Saturday, October 18, 2025 | 9 a.m.–3 p.m.
Why Go: Local artisans, handcrafted goods, delicious food, and a creative scarecrow-building display. It’s the perfect mix of shopping and seasonal fun.
Mom Tip: Bring a tote bag — you’ll leave with more than you planned!

🍎 5. Cider Stroll – The District

Where: Czech Village & New Bohemia District, Cedar Rapids
When: Friday, October 17, 2025 | 5–8 p.m.
Why Go: Sip cider, sample treats, and stroll through one of Cedar Rapids’ most charming districts. It’s a fun night out for adults or families with older kids.
