Halloween is officially over for the year, but is anyone else still haunted by the buckets of candy that now sit overflowing with chocolate and sugar on your kitchen table? There they sit, taunting our children who beg for “just one more piece” every 10 minutes. If you want to avoid some of the constant sugar highs, here are some alternatives to get the Halloween candy out of your house:
Earn some cash at a Halloween candy buyback
Yes, there are people that will PAY for your candy. Maybe there is something special your kiddo is saving up for. If that’s the case, take them to one of these dentists that are willing to give them some money in exchange for candy! Make sure to note the dates and times of each location so you are there at the appropriate time for buybacks.

Bake with it!
A simple Pinterest search will bring up tons of ideas for using your piles of candy to make special cookies or brownies. Make a few batches and drop off a plate full of treats to your neighbors or grandparents.
Here are a few of my favorites:
- Butterfinger Cookies from Sally’s Baking Addiction
- Snickers Brownie Cookies from Something Swanky
- Reese’s PB Bars from Inside BruCrew’s Life
- Kit Kat Cookies from Crazy for Crust
Really, you can’t go wrong when you bake with candy!
