Join us for our opening Fall Festival Weekend at Bass Family Farms! Open 10-6 Saturday and Sunday!! Bring your family to pick out your pumpkins, shop our country store, and have some family fun! Activities include hay rack rides, giant jumping pad (NEW), sling shots, spider webs (NEW), 18 hole mini-golf, tire playground, pedal carts (NEW), GIANT tic tac toe, GIANT checker board tables, teeter totters, LIFE size connect four, GIANT Jenga, photo ops, candy corn bag toss, pumpkin bowling, pumpkin slide, corn hole and much much more!

Sunday Morning Yoga
Location: Lucky Cat Comedy & Events

Your weekly hour of zen with our Fearless Yoga Leader, Elise! Our yoga class is a relaxed, judgement-free zone for yogis of all skill levels. No pre-registration is required. Class fee is $15.

It’s Banned Book Week! Join us for a story time that brings awareness to children’s books that have been challenged or banned.

September 20

Food Truck Tuesdays
Location: Newbo City Market
Time: 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM

The Market will host Food Truck Tuesday every Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., beginning May 3, in the Market’s yard and parking lot. A variety of food truck vendors will set up under the awning.

Free Yoga: Practice in the Prairie
Location: Indian Creek Nature Center
Time: 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM

Take your practice to the prairie as some of Cedar Rapids’ best instructors teach a different style of yoga or Pilates each week to keep you on your toes! Bring a yoga mat and dress for the outdoors. Class is held on the Amazing Space patio, and in case of rain, will need to be canceled.  Arrive a few minutes early to get settled and meet new friends.

The Pollstar nominated Disney Junior tour is back with an ALL-NEW show, Disney Junior Live On Tour: Costume Palooza! This show brings beloved Disney Junior characters and favorite Marvel Super Heroes live on stage for a jam-packed, concert-style show with singing, dancing, acrobatics, and more. It will feature favorite songs from hit Disney Junior series, as well as new original music. Mickey, Minnie, and their pals are getting ready to throw a huge costume party but mysterious green rain, wind, and smoke keep interrupting the fun. Can Spidey and his Amazing Friends help save the Costume Palooza?

Join us for supervised workout and playtime in the gym! A signed waiver is required for ALL children attending. NO EXCEPTIONS. Parents may create an account and sign the waiver online by clicking the “SIGN UP” button at the top of the page, print the waiver and bring it along, or may sign in person at the gym.

Join us for our 3rd annual Fall Farm Glow event!! We are excited to have Buzzard’s Glory Balloon Company out to “glow” their hot air balloons at dusk! Listen to some live music and bring the whole family for an evening of fun. Family games to enjoy are 18 hole mini golf, sling shots, giant jumping pad, teeter totters, tire playground, 2 giant spider webs, Giant Jenga, Giant Connect 4, Giant Tic, Tac, Toe tables, many fall photo opportunities and much more!!
Navigate your way through the corn maze before the balloons glow!
Admission for this event is $8 per person. 2 and under are FREE.
Bring your lawn chairs and blankets to settle in for a fun and relaxing evening watching the balloons “glow”!

Alyssa is an Iowa native but fairly new to the Cedar Rapids area. Wife to Carter, and mom to her little man, Ronan as well as two fur babies, Jaxon & Minerva. She has a Psychology & Sociology degree from Loras College and Masters Degree in Educational Administration from Texas A&M University. In her free time, Alyssa loves to be outdoors; camping, fishing, sitting around a bonfire, or baking for her family and friends. Alyssa loves iced coffee, no matter how cold it is outside, binging Gilmore Girls or Parks n Rec and spending time with her family. Alyssa is so excited to bring moms together and explore the wonderful Cedar Rapids community!
