Toy Story Little Leapers

Hiawatha Farmer’s Market
Location: Guthridge Park
Time: 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM

Come shop locally grown produce, baked goods, flowers, handcrafts, desserts, and more!

Fall Festival
Location: Bass Family Farms
Time: 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM 

Open 10-6 Saturday and Sunday!! Bring your family to pick out your pumpkins, shop our country store, and have some family fun! Activities include hay rack rides, giant jumping pad (NEW), sling shots, spider webs (NEW), 18 hole mini-golf, tire playground, pedal carts (NEW), GIANT tic tac toe, GIANT checker board tables, teeter totters, LIFE size connect four, GIANT Jenga, photo ops, candy corn bag toss, pumpkin bowling, pumpkin slide, corn hole and much much more!

Sunflower Festival
Location: Bloomsbury Farm

Join us at Bloomsbury Farm for golden vibes and vibrant fields of sunflowers! We’re so excited to start the Fall fun on the farm! U-Pick Sunflowers, Farm Animals, & so much more!

Sunday Morning Yoga
Location: Lucky Cat Comedy & Events
Time: 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM

Your weekly hour of zen with our Fearless Yoga Leader, Elise! Our yoga class is a relaxed, judgement-free zone for yogis of all skill levels. No pre-registration is required. Class fee is $15.

Location: The Iowa Children’s Museum
Time: 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM

Grab your hard hat and take an up-close look at construction vehicles, farming equipment, and emergency vehicles!
Join us on Sunday, September 25th outside The Iowa Children’s Museum for games, activities, and vehicles of all shapes and sizes. This free event gives kids an opportunity to check out vehicles of all sizes and make pit stops for games and activities.
Outdoor activities are FREE! Museum admission requires purchasing tickets at the door to help maintain our reduced capacity limits. Admission will be provided on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Discover Dance Days
Location: The Pointe School of Dance
Time: Sept. 26 – Oct 1

Discover dance, or a new style of dance during Discover Dance Days at The Pointe September 26 through October 1!
New-to-The-Pointe families are invited to try out a class for free – with a great value offered when you register! Currently enrolled students can try out new styles of dance in classes this week – with free trial classes and a great value offered when you add classes to your current schedule!

Baby & Me Yoga
Location: Toula Yoga
Time: 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM

Our Baby & Me classes provides a calm and nurturing yoga practice filled with ways to promote your baby’s growth and health. Babies are guided through dozens of unique yoga postures while on their backs, tummies, or held in loving arms. Adding in songs, rhymes, movement, and play we create a fun filled experience for our smallest yogis.
For caregivers – Most of the yoga we do is for baby, but you will also learn breathing and relaxation techniques as you practice a bit of yoga yourself, while bonding with your baby and enjoying the company of other adults.
No yoga experience is required. Ages 6 weeks-crawling, with adult.

Early Learning Story Time
Location: Ladd Library
Time: 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM

Story time for young children with stories, songs, and other interactive activities, designed for children ages 2-5.

September 27

Food Truck Tuesdays
Location: Newbo City Market
Time: 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM

The Market will host Food Truck Tuesday every Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., beginning May 3, in the Market’s yard and parking lot. A variety of food truck vendors will set up under the awning.

Free Yoga: Practice in the Prairie
Location: Indian Creek Nature Center
Time: 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM

Take your practice to the prairie as some of Cedar Rapids’ best instructors teach a different style of yoga or Pilates each week to keep you on your toes! Bring a yoga mat and dress for the outdoors. Class is held on the Amazing Space patio, and in case of rain, will need to be canceled.  Arrive a few minutes early to get settled and meet new friends.

Time: 6:30 PM – 8:30 PM
Want to give curling a try? These four-week leagues are a great opportunity, whether you are looking for a new skill as a high-performance athlete or simply want to try a fun and unique activity.
No experience or equipment is necessary.
We’ll start each session with drills aimed at improving various aspects of the game, including delivering a stone, sweeping, strategy, etc. The remaining time will be devoted to playing a short game.
Registration is required to ensure everyone has quality time on the ice.

Location: Ushers Ferry Historic Village

Sunset Pumpkins: 5-6:30pm Night Owls: 6:30-8pm

Bring supper with you and come out to Ushers Ferry for an early evening hayrack ride, bonfire, and simple craft before bedtime. The saloon will be open with popcorn and sarsaparilla available for purchase. Advance registration is not required. Free admission for children ages 5 and under.

Time: 6:30-7:30pm

Connect and chat with like-minded crafters. Bring a craft project you are working on or grab a project from our craft kit grab bag. Treats will be provided!

Enjoy an evening stroll through the fall prairie and stop at sampling stations along the way, featuring heavy appetizers and craft beverages from local producers including:
Backpocket Brewing, Big Grove Brewery, BIT Brewery, Iowa Brewing Company, Lion Bridge Brewing Company, Ardon Creek Winery, Cedar Ridge Winery, Wild Culture Kombucha, Wilson’s Orchard & Farm, ICNC Signature Honey Lemonade, as well as other non-alcoholic options.

This game is Free to play with no registration required.

Try a different craft each month at these sessions designed for teens ages 12 and over. All materials will be provided.
Create a geometric embroidery to hang on your wall. Beginner and expert embroiderers are welcome. Only a few basic stitches will be used in the design.

Oktoberfest 2022
Location: Amana Colonies
Time: Sept 30 – Oct 2

Join us for Oktoberfest in the Amana Colonies! So much fun we’re starting in September this year. Enjoy beer, live music, games, German food, and so much more all through the Colonies during this festival weekend.
Amana Colonies Festhalle:
At the official Amana Colonies Oktoberfest Grounds, enjoy Amana Colonies Meat Shop & Smokehouse brats, along with pork trotters, sides, and desserts. We’ll have live music from bands like Barefoot Becky and the Ivanhoe Dutchmen, the Colony Folksingers, Bavarian Musikmeisters, Ken and Mary Turbo Accordions, and more, along with beer – lots of beer. We’ll host games during the day on Saturday between bands, and even our annual brat eating competition.

Visit our farm and enjoy a lovely fall day. Take a stroll through our pumpkin patches to pick out the perfect pumpkin for everyone in the family. Load em up on the tractor and bring it to our carving station, we’ll take care of the mess!
