While schools are closed due to Coronavirus, Cedar Rapids area school districts and businesses are providing free lunches to children who need it. Where to Get Free Lunch for Kids in Cedar Rapids
Cedar Rapids Community School District
The Cedar Rapids Community School District is providing lunch and breakfast pick-up Monday-Friday from 10:30 a.m.-1:00 p.m. beginning March 23rd at the following locations:

- Grant Elementary School
- Grant Wood Elementary School
- Hoover Elementary School
- Johnson Elementary School
- Taylor Elementary School
- Nixon Elementary School
- Wright Elementary School
- Roosevelt Middle School
- Johnson STEAM Academy
Meals are for children 18 and under. Children must be present and do not have to be students at these sites to attend. Meals will not be consumed on site. See the flyer for details. Curriculum packets will also be provided.
Linn-Mar Community School District
Linn-Mar Community School District will be providing lunch Monday-Friday from 11:00 a.m.-12:30 p.m. beginning March 23rd at the following locations:

College Community School District will be providing lunch and breakfast pick-up Monday-Friday beginning Tuesday, March 24th. at the following times and locations.

Trinity Lutheran School
Trinity Lutheran School will be providing lunches for children 18 and under on Mondays and Wednesdays beginning March 23rd. These meals will be available for DRIVE THROUGH pick-up between 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.on Mondays and Wednesdays in the school parking lot. Monday’s pick-up will include two lunches per child, Wednesday’s pick-up will include 3 lunches per child. Delivery is available upon-request if you cannot make it during the designated time.

Center Point Urbana School District
Feeding Lunches to Youth will serve lunches to children Monday-Friday from 12:00-12:30 beginning March 23rd at the Center Point Public Library and Urbana American Legion Hall. See their Facebook post for more information.
*Many other surrounding districts are coordinating meals within their community and request sign-up, including Marion Independent School District, Central City Community School District, Mount Vernon Community School District, Vinton Shellsburg Community School District, and College Community School District, among others. If your student attends another district, be sure to check your email for updates!

Granite City Food & Brewery {4755 1st Ave SE, Cedar Rapids}
Granite City Food & Brewery is offering free sack lunches to children who need it. Each child will receive a turkey sandwich, bag of chips, and applesauce. Please call the manager at 319-395-7500 to arrange pick-up between 11:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. {Limited to 150/day}
Black Squirrel Tap in Swisher {72 2nd St SE, Swisher}
Black Squirrel Tap is providing free sack lunches to school age children while school is out. Lunches will be available Monday-Fridays from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. Options: Turkey, Ham or Peanut Butter & Jelly. Call them at 319.857.4447 and they will have them ready to go for you.
