Sensory Friendly Night for Individuals on the Autism Spectrum |  5:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. @ Hiawatha Public Library

Meet friendly therapy dogs, play at the sensory table, create a simple make it/take it craft, or relax with a fidget spinner. Of course, the library is available for the hour for browsing the shelves, surfing the Internet, and checking out materials. Free & open to the public.

Valentine’s Day Kids Night Out |  6:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. @ The Potter’s Obsession

Bring your kids and come paint heart jars at The Potter’s Obsession. Enjoy pizza and a drink as you paint with your kids. $17/per child. Price includes studio fee, jar, pizza, and drink. Reservations required. Space is limited, call (319) 743-9824 to make your reservation.


Saturday, February 10th

Hi-Crew Kiwanis Valentine’s Pancake Breakfast |  8:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. @ Hiawatha Community Center

Do you like pancakes and omelets? Then join Hi-Crew Kiwanis for their annual Valentine’s day pancake breakfast! They will have a face painter and a craft table set up for the kids! Bring a donation and join in the fun. The biggest use of funds is their annual dictionary give away. They donate approximately 1,000 dictionaries to 3rd graders around the metro area every school year for more than 10 years! They support the Hiawatha library with popular kid’s books each year and the Hiawatha Kids League. They have also used monetary donations for multiple donations like pediatric trauma kits and playground equipment. Visit www.hiawatha-crew.org to learn more. Llama Llama Visit |  10:00 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. @ Ely Public Library

Listen to a Llama Llama story by Anna Dewdney. Meet the Llama Llama character and have your photo taken! Free & open to the public.

Grandparent’s Tea |  2:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. @ Ushers Ferry Historic Village

Have a grand time with Grandma and Grandpa at this special tea for children and their grandparents. Enjoy tea at the Schultz Cottage. Share stories, make a craft, and play games. For children 12 years and younger. Must attend with an adult. Open to residents and non-residents. Tickets are $15 per adult ($14 if adult is a resident) and $8 per child ($7 if child is a resident). Sunday, February 11th

Valentines Celebration at The Play Station |  12:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. @ The Play Station

Looking for a fun way to celebrate Valentines Day with the kids? The Play Station Valentines Celebration Party will include cookie decorating, arts/crafts, face painting, and balloon artist! Admission is $9.99 per child and adults are free.

Cedar Rapids Moms Blog Valentine’s Playdate |  10:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. @ Prestige Dance Studio

Join us for a Valentine’s Playdate with Prestige Dance Studio! We’ll do dance activities, have a snack, and make a fun Valentine’s craft. This is a great opportunity to have some fun and meet other Cedar Rapids moms and kiddos!  Tickets are $7/child ages 2 and up and free for siblings 1 and under. Parents are free.
