#clearthelist 2022 in partnership with The Design Studio

We were very fortunate to partner with The Design Studio to help #clearthelist for teachers.

What is Clear the List?

Clear the List is a nationwide movement in support of our teachers by purchasing items for their classrooms from their wish list, like Amazon.

The Clear the List movement was started in 2019 by Courtney Jones. Courtney is the Founder and Executive Director of ClearTheList Foundation, a non-profit that connects schools and teachers with corporations, organizations, and community members looking to contribute to the enhancement of learning opportunities for all.

Jessi Mart, the owner of The Design Studio, was interested in partnering for this campaign with zero hesitation.

“My sister is an art teacher with a limited budget and it’s never enough, and I know she has always dug into her own pockets to make sure her kids have the best year. And with having a kid going to school—I have always appreciated teachers but after 2020 and homeschooling for a few short months-we got a micro glimpse of what they do daily.  And it’s ALOT!!!! Plus I know a little bit can go a long way. And sometimes it’s nice to feel noticed and appreciated,“ said Jessi.

“Also they are with our kids more than we are most days—wouldn’t we want them to have everything they can to make our kids have the best days?“

Alyssa Williams, the owner of Cedar Rapids Moms, is the daughter of a teacher who understands just how much a teacher can spend to supply things for their classroom.

“My mom has been a teacher for nearly 20 years and pours her heart into her classroom. Whether it’s her decorating her bulletin board, writing new lesson plans, or learning about new items or ways to help her students learn, my mom is constantly going above and beyond. The least I can do is surprise teachers by purchasing items off their Amazon Wish List to show my appreciation for everything they do.”

We did 10 days of giving and encouraged our readers to help #clearthelist:
