CR Parks and Recreation Movie Night: Moana | 6:30-9:30 p.m. @ Northwest Recreation Center
It’s movie night at the Northwest Recreation Center! Bring your blankets, bean bags or chairs to the gym and enjoy Disney’s “Moana” while you snack on free popcorn and water! Come early and enjoy activities at the center before the movie! Free & open to the public.

Join Orchestra Iowa’s as they introduce children to the instruments of the orchestra! These fun and educational Pied Piper Concerts offer children the opportunity to enjoy an up-close and personal. Free & open to the public. Recommended for preschool age children.

Blanket Drive | 1:00 -4:00 p.m @ Hiawatha Public Library
Kid-Powered Kindness believes kids have the power to make the world a better place. Please join us in this kid-driven project to collect blankets for homeless families in our community. Blankets will be donated to Family Promise of Linn County. Want to be even more hands on? Check out the blanket making event at the library Jan. 15! Open house event going on DAILY from now until February 2nd. Please bring a new or gently used blanket to donate. Make sure to check the library hours before dropping blankets off. The collection box is just across from the checkout desk.
