On Friday, April 6th, grab your family and friends for a Bingo night at the Market. They will have the cards and will be calling numbers from 6 to 7:30 pm. Pippi Longstocking, Playtime Poppy & Friends! | 10:00 a.m. – 10:45 a.m. @ Cedar Rapids Public Library
Want a chance to meet Pippi Longstocking and her friends? Join Playtime Poppy and the Washington High School cast of Pippi Longstocking in the Children’s Programming Room for a chance to meet the characters, play theatre games and engage in some literary fun! This is a meet & greet before the play opens April 19th.
Open Studio | 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. @ The Music and Arts Studios at the Eastern Iowa Arts Academy
Kids K-12 join in the studios to try your hand at different types of music and various art mediums with guidance from professional artists and musicians. Bring a friend! Free for Members, $5 non members.
Bunny Talk & Walk | 12:30 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. @ Indian Creek Nature Center
Bring the family to learn about rabbits and other furry critters in the wild! This family-friendly program will start indoors with a short talk on rabbits in the wild, touching on their diets, lifestyle, habitats, and more. The program will end with a hike outdoors to look for evidence of bunnies! Registration required. Members $6; Non-Members $8; children under 12 are free.
One 2 Read Story Time with Mayor Hart | 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. @ Cedar Rapids Public Library
Join Mayor Hart for a reading of this year’s One 2 Read book, Last Stop on Market Street. Activities related to the story will begin at 1:00, hosted by area AmeriCorps members; story time will begin at approximately 1:20 with additional activity time following. This will be a great chance to get a #SelfiewithCJ

Back to the Future | 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. @ Marcus Wehrenberg Cedar Rapids Cinema
With the help of a wacky scientist, a young teen travels back to 1955 in a Delorean turned time-machine. Once there, he meets his parents, still teenagers, but his presence throws things out-of-whack and he must ensure they fall in love and get married or else he’ll never come to exist. Wow! There’s a lot to do in Cedar Rapids. My wife and I have been planning on visiting for a while now but haven’t gotten around to it. I wish I was around on April 8th to go see Back to the Future in theaters. That would be such a blast to the past.
