Summit Schools
Summit Schools has been the summer destination for local students for over 20 years, and we look forward to welcoming campers back to campus in 2021! Summit offers 4-week academic camps in reading/writing and math, and weekly themed camps encouraging kids to think critically and problem-solve while still having a blast! Summit’s summer camps are known in the community for their high-quality programming, and a majority of the coursework this summer will be performed outdoors. Summit is following the guidelines of the Linn County Public Health and CDC during the pandemic requiring face masks/shields and social distancing for the safety of our students and staff. Class sizes will be limited. Camp requirements will be determined before summer camp begins and shared with registered families.

KidsPoint Learning Center Summer Day Camp
KidsPoint provides a variety of safe, age-appropriate activities throughout the summer through our Summer Camp Program. We have two locations: KidsPoint Downtown Learning Center & Preschool, and KidsPoint C Street Learning Center & Preschool. We do arts & crafts, exploration, field trips, and summertime learning/science & educational related activities. $180/per week, Camp hours are from 6:30 a.m.-6:00 p.m.

At Indian Creek Nature Center’s Creek Camp, your child will be guided by naturalists as they explore the outdoors, learn about wildlife, enjoy unstructured play, practice outdoor skills, observe the wonder of nature and enjoy the beauty of the outdoors. Children will create memories while they learn and even get a little dirty, too. Creek Camp will help foster in your child a connection to the outdoors that lasts a lifetime! ISU Extension & Outreach - Linn County
Day-Long Summer Camps from 4-H
Are your kids looking for active, engaging summer fun? ISU Extension and Outreach offers affordable day-long camps. We use wonder and exploration to inspire youth as they tackle interactive, educational activities. Each themed camp is designed for a specific age group and costs only $20 per child (financial assistance is available). Camps begin at 9 am and end at 3 pm. Children need to bring a sack lunch.
This year’s themes are: Robots at the Olympics (K-2nd), Fizz, Bubble, & Goo (K-2nd), Dig In! (K-2nd), Art Attack (3-5th), Blast Off! (3-5th), Invent STEM (4-6th).

Kidcreate Studio
Kidcreate Studio is an art studio just for kids! Our award-winning curriculum inspires creativity in an environment that encourages giggles and grins. Kirkwood Interactive Camps for Kids (KICK) are back with over 175 exciting and educational summer camps in Cedar Rapids, Coralville, and online for kids ages 8-15. Designed around career exploration, KICK provides fun, hands-on activities that promise to develop and build key skills for future success.

Camp Scattergood provides campers with a day full of exciting outdoor activities! Our program engages campers in age-specific activities taught by professional teachers. We believe in the importance of both nature and community, which are incorporated into our programming. Each day your camper can expect to swim in the pond, engage in imaginative play, grow their creativity through arts and crafts, and snack on farm-fresh organic produce.
