Let me start by saying that I am so intimidated by the idea of scheduling professional photos. We hadn’t had any done since we got married seven years ago, despite having had three kids since then! I put it off for years.
Part of me was afraid I would be unhappy with the end result; another part of me was equally afraid that my children (ages 5, 4, and 2) would misbehave and the entire process would be a disaster. I am SO happy I scheduled a session with Sarah because she put my fears to rest, and made me feel so at ease the entire time.
In February I messaged her to express interest in setting up a session.
I left the time of year and time of day completely up to her. She suggested spring photos so we set up a session for a Sunday evening in May, right as the flowers began to bloom! We met at Morgan Creek Park (her suggestion) and the scenery was gorgeous.
Before the session, she offered advice on outfit selection if I wanted it (I did!), and lots of reassuring advice on how to best handle the kids to make sure everything would run smoothly.
We booked a mini session (30-minute time slot) which comes with 10 digital photos.
I worried that 30 minutes wouldn’t be enough time, but she was so efficient that we got everything we wanted in even slightly less time than that. Walking away I was thinking, “I hope there’s at least just one good photo.” I can be overly critical of myself in photos so I figured narrowing it down to 10 would be incredibly easy.
To my shock and (pleasant) surprise, there were so many good ones that I couldn’t keep it to 10. We ended up paying a little extra afterward to buy every single one. Best money I’ve spent this year.
These photos are truly priceless.
She made my kids laugh, calmed the anxious parents’ nerves, and worked some kind of magic that translated into the best professional photos that we’ve ever had taken. Thank you, Sarah!

Hello! I’m Sarah, a work-at-home mom of three. My husband, Elliot, is my biggest supporter, always encouraging me to pursue my dream of running my own business. My photography journey started back in 2013 after the birth of my second child. The oldest and I snuck out at nap time and bought our first “fancy” camera. I wasn’t sure where it would take me, but at least I‘d have nice pictures of 
my babies. That camera was the beginning of something wonderful! It provided a hobby I was passionate about that turned into more than I could have imagined as a business, providing a way to stay at home with my growing family. I have seen so many other families grow and change through the lens of my camera and it brings me so much joy to create something so meaningful and memorable for people. To tell your stories is a great honor and privilege.
