The Black Friday of yesteryear has gone the way of large crowds and when “maskne” wasn’t a word. But that doesn’t mean all hope is lost. Black Friday 2020 not only spares us the insanity of lines and being out at 0-dark-thirty, but gives us even more online options! So, we can shop till we drop all cozy in our fat pants with a turkey baby to rest our phones on.
Here is a little roundup of popular Black Friday 2020 deals that can be found from the comfort of your home:
Walmart:
In lieu of 24 hours of sales, Walmart has online-only deals dropping at 7 p.m on November 4th, November 11th, and November 25th) with more online (midnight) and new in-store deals 5 a.m following on November 7th, November 14th, November 27th. An $88 42″ TV, $5 Kinetic Sand, clothes, housewares, and great gifts are up for grabs.
Target:
Target has deals dropping on the daily. Follow their social media and push notifications via the app for the most up-to-date info on which deals drop when. Weekly Black Friday deals come out each Thursday. The newest Alexa devices are on sale now and save the Target Circle promo for 25% off any one toy through 11/21.
Amazon:
Check out Amazon’s Black Friday page for current deals. Plus, follow them on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram to be in the know when those sweet, sweet deals drop. Plus, follow their Epic Daily Deals for great deals if you just can’t wait any longer!
Best Buy:
Their Big Black Friday event starts on Sunday, November 22nd, followed by Online-only Deals on Thanksgiving Day, and finishing up with Cyber Deals on Saturday, November 28th. Check out their ad online now!
Kohls:
The Black Friday ad is live! Shopping starts online Sunday, November 22nd at 12:01 am and 8 am in store. You can shop the deals all week long, though stores will be closed Thanksgiving Day. Earn $15 Kohl’s Cash for every $50 spent, plus get a coupon for 15% off your purchase good from Nov 22nd-27th. You can even get 2 hr contactless pickup or in-store pickup if you don’t want to fight the crowds but need something sooner than it can ship.
JcPenney:
The Black Friday ad is live! Shop online or in stores on November 25-28th, however stores will close Thanksgiving Day and re-open at 5am on Friday. With coupon, you can save an extra 30% on items in several categories!
Old Navy:
A lot of major retailers are waiting until November 26th to drop their best deals, but you can preview their ads and get your game plan ready. Many of their deals are available online and quantities are limited.
Home Improvement:
If your house was impacted by the derecho, you might be in the market for some home improvement items, appliances, and housewares to rebuild. Instead of Black Friday sales, Lowes, Menards, Home Depot are running “Season of Savings” deals all November long. Check their websites for current deals, though most have prices good until Dec 2nd.
Wayfair has a great selection of both pre-Black Friday deals leading up to Black Friday. Mama has her eye on some teal barstools.
Find the Ads:
BlackFriday.com is my go-to for all things Black Friday. It has every ad for every major retailer; even some who I didn’t know had Black Friday sales! Sign up for email alerts to know when your favorite store’s ads drop.
Don’t Forget to Shop Local!
Check out the websites for your favorite local shops and businesses, or visit their social media pages. Many will offer special deals for their loyal customers, and in this difficult year, our small business owners need as much support as we can give them!
And, for the love of all things elastic please do yourself a money-saving favor and use cash back apps like iBotta, Rakuten, Fetch, and others to maximize your savings. Find a friend with an account because they often get a kickback for referring you and you get a credit for signing up. Use Chrome extensions and apps like Honey and RetailMeNot to automatically find promo codes and coupons for your favorite brands.
Get those stretchy pants on (or no pants, we don’t judge), put your feet up, and get to snatching up those awesome deals.
