Join Karl Mozart as he discovers the life and music of his father Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.
Turns Out – He Was a Pretty Cool Dad!
Like most kids, Karl doesn’t want to go back to boarding school. He wants to stay with his dad and have fun. Duh. But that’s not an option.
So, while they sit on a trunk waiting for a carriage to take Karl back to school, Mr. Mozart livens up the time with stories from his past.
The trunk quickly becomes a magic chest that takes them on a journey through Mozart’s incredible childhood. Stories about the amazing people he’s met, the places he’s been and most importantly, the music he created that brought about his fame.
Mozart is often compared to Prince. They were both mega-talented musicians in a variety of musical styles, who really knew how to put on a show.
23 excerpts from some of Mozart’s most famous pieces weave in and out of this theatrical story, including parts from The Marriage of Figaro, Don Giovanni, The Magic Flute and more.
Mozart’s Magnificent Voyage is less than an hour long. It’s intended for kids ages 6-12, where they are allowed to be kids. This show is a lot of fun and a great way for kids to experience the beauty of music in the equally beautiful Paramount Theatre.
