We are thrilled to announce our first ever Hanging with Heroes event!! Join Cedar Rapids Moms Blog, Total Rejuvenation, and Trinity Lutheran School on September 30th at 9:30 a.m. for a chance to meet local police officers, firefighters, and paramedics! Come check out their rescue vehicles, enjoy yummy treats, bounce in the bounce house, and enjoy fun activities from local businesses!
Kiddos are welcome to wear costumes!! We’d love to see them in their favorite community hero or super hero shirt or costume!
The following community heroes will be on hand for this event: Cedar Rapids Police Department, Linn County Sheriff’s Department, Area Ambulance Service, LifeGuard Air Rescue, and the Cedar Rapids Fire Department {the CRFD will be at the event at 10:30}.
**Many of our local heroes will be on call that morning. Please be advised that they may need to leave at any time in the event of an emergency!
The Scoop on Tickets
- Tickets are $5/child ages 1 and up. Infants under 1 are free, but still need to be registered!
- TICKETS ARE REQUIRED AND MUST BE PURCHASED IN ADVANCE. THERE WILL NOT BE TICKETS SOLD AT THE DOOR FOR THIS EVENT!!
- We are limiting the number of tickets available in order to make sure everyone who attends has a wonderful experience! There will be no additional expenses at the event unless you want to purchase items from our sponsors.
- Tickets are non-refundable. But they are transferrable. If you want to transfer your ticket to someone else, please email us and let us know! This event will take place rain or shine!

Our charity partner for this event is YPN {formerly Young Parents Network}. YPN offers education and resources to Cedar Rapids families that focus on having a healthy pregnancy, raising a healthy baby, and focus on early childhood growth and development. Demand for basic need items at their We Care Shop is at an all time high! Let’s help stock their shop by bringing these baby essentials to this event!! Items YPN needs:
- Diapers size 1-6 {open packages are ok}
- Wipes
- Diaper rash ointment
- Baby shampoo and lotion
- Baby bibs
