Now that March is here, all I can think about is all things Spring! When I think Spring, I think fresh, clean, and alive! That’s exactly how I want my skin and makeup to look as well, especially during this time of year. There are so many great and affordable drugstore makeup options, but navigating your way through the cosmetic aisle can be overwhelming. But you’re in luck because I’ve rounded up my favorite, can’t-live-without, budget friendly makeup products tailored to Spring!
L’Oreal Magic Lumi Primer
This primer is your go-to if you’re looking for a nice, healthy glow. You can wear it under your foundation to create a smooth base, wear it alone, or mix it with your foundation for beautiful hydrated, dewy look. If you tend to be oily, there is also a matte version.
Maybelline Instant Age Rewind
I don’t mess around when it comes to concealer because these dark circles need all the help. Instant Age Rewind fills and smoothes fine line, reduces puffiness, and hides the fact that I’ve been tired since 2002. This concealer can also be use for highlighting and contouring.
Maybelline Brow Precise Fiber Volumizer
I’m loving this product for a natural looking brow. It has actual fibers and it’s tinted. It fills and shapes your brows so easily, I promise anyone can do it and it stays in place all the live long day.
L’Oreal Infallible foundation is definitely my ride or die drugstore foundation and with a wide range of shades, you should be able to find your perfect match. I’ve used both the Pro-Glow when my face has been more on the drier side, and Pro-Matte when I’ve been oily. I have also mixed the two to combat oil, but still have the luminosity that I love so much for spring. The coverage lasts all day and you can build up to full coverage when needed.
Maybelline City Mini Palette
I was blown away when I first tried one of the City Mini Palettes! Each palette comes with six highly pigmented shades and a guide on how to apply, so it’s virtually fool-proof.
L’Oreal Voluminous Carbon Black Mascara
Everyone loves this mascara! If you haven’t tried it, you must! Your lashes stay soft, the mascara doesn’t clump, and your lashes will look long and thick.
Milani ‘Luminoso’ Blush
The Milani blush in Luminoso is a gorgeous peachy, pink shade that looks amazing on every skin tone. It’s seriously so good for spring! It gives you an amazing healthy-looking glow and doesn’t have any chunky glitter in it.
Maybelline Master Chrome
I ditched my high-end highlighter for this drugstore dupe. It’s the Maybelline Master Chrome highlighter and it comes in two shades. I use the molten gold shade. Recently, a new shade called Rose Gold was released and is better suited for light/medium skin tones. You can apply with a brush or by using your fingers. Simply sweep onto cheekbones, nose, and cupid’s bow. This can also be used in the inner corner of your eyes and on the brow bone. Be sure to blend out your highlight for a seamless finish.
NYX Butter Glosses
These are my absolute favorite! I have them in my makeup drawer, diaper bag, car…anywhere I can stash one. I am obsessed with glosses and have tried more than I care to admit! NYX Butter Gloss is sheer, but still has incredible pigmentation! It’s not sticky and it doesn’t dry out your lips. There are so many perfect colors – my go-to’s are Eclair and Creme Brulee, and are perfect spring-time colors!
All of the products that I’ve shared with you are under $15! These drugstore makeup products are perfect for refreshing your makeup just in time for spring and won’t kill your bank account.
So, treat yourself without the guilt, mama!
