Meet Jess Wygle

Hello!  My name is Jess Wygle and I am thrilled to find an outlet for two of my biggest passions; family and writing.  I grew up in the Cedar Rapids area and attended Linn-Mar high school.  I studied at Kirkwood and UNI.  

In the past 10 years, I have made myself at home in the lovely community of Vinton and welcomed two wonderful children.  My son, Landon, is 8-years-old and a total boy, through and through.  He’s very active in sports and is a great student.  My daughter, Fynnlee, is 3-years-old and keeps us all on our toes.  She’s an independent spit-fire with lots of sass.  I also have a 6-year-old red fox lab named Titan who is a total and complete momma’s boy!

I currently operate an in-home daycare where I watch a handful of kids and get to spend quality time with my daughter, as well as be home when my son is out of school.  Being a mother is my calling and my joy.  I enjoy getting out and about in our town and in neighboring communities.  Landon is involved in many sports so Fynnlee and I have become full-time spectators and fans.  We love to go to the movies, to local restaurants, and community events.  A great deal of my family and my closest friends are local to the area so I’m blessed to get to spend so much time with them.

In my “mommy time”, I love to write.  I have written a number of stories, both short and long, and have self-published a few of my stories as eBooks.  I also love to read thrillers, mysteries, and crime novels as well as indulge in TV and movies.  And I’m not ashamed to say I have a few adult coloring books on my shelves!
