Meet Cassidy Davis
Hello fellow mommas!
My name is Cassidy, and I am an Iowa native. I grew up in small town Center Point, and have spent my adult life in Cedar Rapids. I spend my days at Frontier Co-op in Norway, where I work as an inside sales rep. I study aromatherapy, and you’ll often find me doing demos at local stores on the weekends, or concocting new potions blends in my kitchen! I’ll be a certified aromatherapist in the spring, and then I’ll go back to school to become a master aromatherapist next fall. During the fall and winter I spend a lot of time on my couch binge watching Netflix and crocheting up new hat designs to help pay for my aromatherapy tuition. My kids are just as busy as I am- my seven year old son, Carter, plays soccer year round, and my five year old daughter, Adria, has been in gymnastics since she was one year old!
I got pregnant with my son when I was only 16 years old, so I lost myself before I even became myself! I went through a lot of wishy-wash in the years after he was born, doing everything from staying at home, working part time to working full time, and even giving birth to my second child, Adria. I didn’t know what I wanted to do with my life, so I just took it day by day. I wasn’t taking very good care of myself, as I focused all of my energy on being the best mom I could be, and that, combined with a lack of exercise and my hypothyroidism, caused a weight gain of 100 lbs. Cue the *dun dun dun*. In the spring of 2015 I started working at Frontier Co-op, and it wasn’t long before I realized my passion for aromatherapy and natural living. Just a few months later, in September, I decided that it was time to start taking care of myself as well as I took care of my children. I started eating healthier and lifting weights, and in only 9 months I managed to lose 80 lbs! I have kept it off for the last two years. However, I haven’t been as healthy the last few months, so if you see me out on the street remind me to get my butt back in the gym!
I thrive on being busy, so I’m excited to have another creative outlet in my life! I love hosting get-togethers and decorating my house, so if you’re ever in my neighborhood, stop on by for a cup of coffee and my boyfriend’s famous pumpkin bars!
Welcome, Cassidy!!
